India Wildlife Tourism - India's  tropical forests have over 1200 species of birds and 350 mammals, preserved in different regions of the country within 59 National Parks and 372 sanctuaries. The exotic areas are Ranthambore Corbett, Gir  Kanha and Bandhavgarh , Periyar  and Kaziranga.

The Indian sub-continent is gloriously rich in its amazing variety of wildlife, from teeming insects colonies to majestic elephant herds that make India is a veritable animal lover's paradise. India's diverse wildlife base is the second largest in the world, and there are currently 80 National Parks and 441 Wildlife Sanctuaries established here. And the incredible feature of these amazing conservatories of exotic wildlife is that they are home to the largest number of tigers and the largest number of one-horned rhinoceros in the world, as well as the almost extinct Asiatic Lion, and a large percentage of the total elephant population! And these particular animal species are but a part of more than 500 species of mammals, over 2000 species of birds, over 500 species of reptiles and amphibians and around 30000 species of insects! India is blessed with tremendous natural beauty in the form of forests with unique flora and fauna. Efforts have been made to preserve the natural richness and variety of India, and nature reserves and wild life sanctuaries have been set up across the country. See tigers in the wild at Ranthambore, Corbett, Sunderbans, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Nagarhole, Pench, and Bandipur.

Enjoy the sight of elephants in their natural habitat at Periyar or the Great Indian Rhinoceros at Kaziranga. See the Asiatic Lion in its only remaining habitat in Asia at Sasangir in Gujarat. Watch peacocks spread their jeweled tails and dance in the forest, enjoy the sight of deer and nilgai graze in peace. View flocks of migratory birds at the Kolodaeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur.
